Did Audio Advice do that for you? I can never understand people who slabber about people upgrading their car audio. In fact I feel sorry for them that they are so tone deaf that they could possibly ever be happy with the complete crap that is fitted as standard

That's one thing you don't really see at shows any more and that's a decent ice install! I don't get people that slabber about ice install either, most standard audio systems are complete s***e, don't see how upgrading it is a complete waste of time or immature in any sort of way. If you enjoy your audio then it makes perfect sense

Was there myself on friday getting a new sub and talked myself into a monoblock amp to run it. Must say running my 4 ch kenwood in 2ch mode with the seperate amp for the sub has transformed my system.

Upgrading the audio in the Type R is definitely on my list since the standard head unit and speakers are utter pish (9 years old now and probably circling the drain).
Don't think I'll be doing a full blown ice install but some upgraded speakers, sound deadening, head unit and possibly an under seat sub would satisfy my needs to aural pleasure without turning my car from a size 8 model into a lardy size 18 Belfast milly

I am still rocking an old school EQ with slidey knobs. Most of my kit came out of the Fiesta, and some of that came from the Fiesta before that lol. I tend to only change something when it stops working, in fact @407_hdi fixed my EQ for me last year.

My doors are loaded with it too both on the door skin and the actual door card itself

Custom iCE is making a comeback but not to the levels years ago. People are starting to cop on that std units even though they are branded as big names are utter crap. Just bought a new family wagon and the sound is meh tbh. Will hope to visit Phil @ AA soon with it.

People who think std audio sounds great ... Really know nothing about good sound or music IMO
