So, after my dilemma with the CRV I've taken ownership of an interim vehicle. My folks bought this 2003 D5 S80 brand new and its been a bit of a forgotten family member for a load of years.

My brother got it back in 2016 and drove it for a while, but it's been properly off the road since 2021. I'm going to put a bit of time and money back into the car and drive it for a year or 2 and see how the 2nd hand market goes.

Currently there's a parasitic drain on the battery and my bro had it at an autospark and they suspected it to be the heater matrix, but they didn't fix the problem (said they didn't have the time) so it was brought back home.

Once I get the car to my house and get it tidied up as its in a terribly neglected condition but a few days work will put it back to 'like new' I'll have it taxed and MoT'd and want to have the battery issue properly fixed.

Who is the best person to give the car to so I can have the issues addressed?

Alarms give trouble on these, if you hear a buzz/hum from behind the offside headlight that's prob your issue
Under the scuttle I mean, xc90 has it under the headlight

Think it's behind the drivers wing on these too, can be seen from the headlight but wing liner needs to come out to get at it.

Wheels will be coming off for a refurb and new tyres so can get a look when it's all off.
