mines have done it?
You can pick up a N/A supra for 3.5 - 5k these days, compared to the usual 9k-15k for a decent TT.

Throw another two grand at it and you can strap a nice big turbo on it, and have more horsies than the twin turbo

y do people move to single turbo instead of twin when they are going for balls out power?

Why would ya want LAG from 2 turbos, whenever 1 big sucker will produce as much power, but with less lag?

Twin turbo is mainly for economy, ie the Rx-7 has a small turbo for low down rev power, while the bigger turbo produces the power for high revs, meaning ya dont always have to go into high revs to avoid lag, and therefore better for Fuel Economy...

A big single turbo will generally have more lag than two smaller ones as it has more mass and takes longer to spin up to speed.

Sequential twin turbos eg 535d have a small turbo which spins up easily for low rpm then a larger one which is at higher rpm - the smaller one is a 'filler' to fill the gap else there would be a lot of lag which is more or less what you said i think.
Not sure if the Supra TT has sequential or two the same?

Becasuse the limitation of the Sequential setup in the TT Supra's case. 400-500 BHP AFAIK.

Thats not always true mate. As various turbos can have various characteristics and combinations, its not as basic as why you have mentioned.

As its been mentioned in the 535d and as I above mentioned on the supra, they use sequential systems.
