who insures the young drivers with modified cars on the site?

They will not pay out if the modifications were attributable to the accident.

I know that NineK but I couldn't afford it if I declared mods, I'm a skint student lol

What age do you have to be to get the extension?

I'm not too sure but I struggled to get the extension because I think they gave me a cheaper price by accident but Hughes insured me through AXA as they're a brokers and AXA is the only company that let's under 25's drive other cars 3rd party as far as I know, I could be wrong though!
