Your a wile man andy,lol.

Yeah as has been mentioned many times, Greenlight have made many people happy, and also others no so.

Tony and the guys defo do their best on here, and seem to specialise in high performance mad stuff, or MODIFIED CARS. Standard cars their quotes maybe not the best about. But hey, it's the higer spec mad modified we all want, lol.

Can honestly say that no matter how cheap they are i'd pay double just to avoid greenlight, my husband has had a claim ongoing from october last year and greenlight could not care less how long it's taking to settle, My husband has been told multiple times that the accident was not his fault as his car was parked at the time of it with no one in it, the person left the scene of the accident but greenlight have had the other parties contact and insurance details from December. We have been £700 out of pocket from the time of this accident and Greenlight have been totally useless. My husbands renewal is now due in less than two weeks yet greenlight refuse to give him proof of no claims and are treating him as though he has zero no claims until the claim is settles, even though the police report states he was not at fault. Will be going to the financial ombudsman about it if it isn't sorted by the end of the week. We have been penalised for nearly a year for an accident that was not his fault. I understand that greenlight are not the insurer merely the broker, but at the end of the day we paid for it through you and it's up to you to ensure that your customers get the best service possible when paying for your service. We have stayed quiet about on RMS this until now as we where sure it was merely a one off, but as time as gone on we are totally sick of the stress involved with the whole situation.

sometimes if the other company refuses to play ball its out of your company or brokers hands? i had the best solicitor i could working on my accident and it took near two years after he took over and he pushed and threatened with everything he could (legally)

Quite frankly we can't afford to be paying a solicitor as we are already £700 out of pocket through all this, the other company appear to be forthcoming, we understand that it isn't the brokers fault if they won't pay, our issue is with the fact that unless we ring they don't even bother following the other insurer up.

fair enough but remember theyre probably very busy and they are only human and humans can forget things when they are busy - not making excuses just trying to see it from their side

in the end i sat back and waited for what ever result i was getting as id done all i could and i was paying extra for insurance the whole time as well as being out moeny for my car but nothingi could do and gettign anoyed didnt help me any so i didnt do it

Hi Terri,

I'm sorry to see that your husband's claim still remains unresolved.

I had spoken with your husband personally and he kindly forward a copy of the excess receipt, which enabled our claims team to attempt recovery of your policy excess from the other party involved.

Your own Insurer had organised the repair of your husbands vehicle at the time, which was shortly after the accident was reported (within 11 days). Due to the unscrupulous nature of the other party involved, the recovery of your Insurer's outlay for repairing your vehicle last year and also your policy excess has been a protracted affair.

I can completely understand your frustration and have sympathy with the delay in the claim being settled as a result of the actions of the other party.

We are trying to resolve this for you and have also been working with Underwriters in an attempt to make this years renewal a far more palatable proposition. Having personally reviewed your case in conjunction with our claims team at the point the excess receipt was received I can confirm that this whole situation is entirely as a result of the other party involved with the hit and run incident.

I will check progress with both our Underwriters and our claims team tomorrow and will look to contact your husband once I have an up to date position. With your permission I will comment in greater detail as to how the repair was handled, when your vehicle was repaired, the stance taken by the third party and interaction with the police.

Your vehicle was repaired swiftly, but the sole reason that this claim remains outstanding is due to your Insurer not having recovered their outlay from the responsible party. This has been delayed as a result of the despicable conduct of the other driver involved.

Your comments in relation to our being useless are wholly unfair and if you are happy for me to divulge greater detail, I will be able to elaborate in this regard for the benefit of yourself and all concerned.

Kind regards

Tony

Hi Terri,

Having spoken with underwriters at length today in respect of this year's renewal it looks as though we'll be able to agree something in relation to rating the renewal on a preferential basis (ie. on the basis that the claim had been settled, even though it's still outstanding). I'll have the confirmation of this in the morning and will send details to your husband then.

I've also spoken with our claims team to get a position update and can run through this tomorrow with your husband, when contacting him about his renewal/NCB situation.

Kind regards

Tony

Carefully
On a personal note I've had contact with Greenlight and one insurance policy through them during the past 6 years or there abouts.

They have always been helpful and only once did I receive a questionable response by phone but this was quickly resolved when Tony stepped in both on here and directly through the company.

This week alone Tony himself wrote a very detailed email providing me with advice and guidance which is far above and beyond any broker / insurer or normal business. I have been up to my eyes in work so have been unable to reply directly with a worthy email response. But I genuinely believe they are a great company to deal with but when some things may be 'out of their hands' it can lead to alot of ambiguity I guess.

I am doing everything I can to get back to a policy under Greenlight and they are normally the very first company I recommend to anyone with a modified car.

As it's late this post doesn't really do Tony justice but I was genuinely very impressed by both the time he had taken and the quality of the content in his reply to me.

Greenlight have saved me a fortune yesterday and got me out of a hole very quickly. I thought my insurance was up next week but found out it was up yesterday morning. Tony quickly had me covered and an email of my documents sent to my android to cover me if i got pulled over, Hats off to them (y)

All sorted now, it's just slightly disappointing that it took a post on here to get there after so many months of constantly phoning. Big thanks to Tony though for getting us sorted!

Hi Terri,

It's not quite over, but despite the other guy denying and still to this day not reporting the incident to his Insurer the other party's Insurer doesn't have a leg to stand on after the Police report.

Whilst this whole situation was caused by the actions of the other party and was also compounded by the timing of last year's renewal, we have acted to avoid any further anguish or heightened expense in relation to this year's renewal.

I can understand that you guys have endured a hard time with the claim remaining outstanding (courtesy of the other driver), which has been hugely frustrating to you and has led to your derogatory post toward Greenlight and LV. But having personally reviewed all relevant events surrounding the accident, last years renewal and been involved with putting some sunshine back in your world with this year's renewal, I can confirm that Greenlight or LV are not responsible for the recovery remaining outstanding for so long.

The actions of the other driver is the reason this claim has remained outstanding with recovery being protracted, but has (and will be) getting his comeuppance.

Your comments, in particular advising that you would "pay double to avoid Greenlight" within this publicly accessible forum are unfair, representing a written defamation and published statement that is potentially damaging to both Greenlight and LV's reputation.

On a personal level, I'm glad to have been able to help as your husband is a really good guy and having reviewed all relevant aspects of our involvement can honestly confirm we had been acting in your husband's interests behind the scenes.

However, with the derogatory nature of your initial post in mind directed toward Greenlight and Liverpool Victoria, I do wish to seek your husband's permission to enable me to publish greater detail that will provide a broader perspective of events that will include dates, times and actions taken by us.

This with a view to providing insight that will enable the community to draw their own conclusions as to what has happened, along with how this has been handled by Greenlight.

Kind regards

Tony

Thanks Terri,

We'll not put anything with identity specific personal detail and it will be a balanced, factual account in chronological order.

I'm just glad that we could bring some sunshine back to your Insurance world.

Kind regards

Tony
