Top Gear Live at RDS Simmonscourt

Clarkson, May and Hammond brought their show to the RDS Simmonscourt in Dublin, and having never seen the screen heroes on stage we went along to take a look.

On arrival we were greeted with  ‘supercar’ and manufacturer type car show which opened two hours prior to the main event.  There was also free 4×4 demonstration runs which ate into our anticipation of the main event.  Once the gates were opened into the live show we entered a buzzing auditorium.

All the main cast were in great form, with the usual wisecracking and jokes at James May’s expense.  There were also stunt driving teams, ridiculous challenges and of course the Stig in there for good measure.  Add in some audience participation and pyrotechnic fireballs including donutting rally Imprezas with fire belching out the rear windows and you get one very enjoyable show.
