Have used the Autoglym spray on (not aerosol) tyre dressing for years, great as a quick job, waterbased so I've found doesn't cake up on tyres. Wheels need a wee wipe to remove overspray after.

A good tyre cleaner will work wonders. A-Kem's Cleanse and a stiff tyre brush I've found works really well. Sometimes more than 1 hit is needed but it will really help with new tyre dressings.

As for a good dressing, I really like both Infinity Wax's Tyre Candy as well as Garage Therapy's Tyre Serum.

Wanted to update. After abit of use they’re falling apart.
Back to the old sponge.

@Eamo_vxr I've got a microfibre covered sponge thing from @Big Pimp years go that I use for applying tyre dressings. It's perfect for the job and other than being black now (was originally blue) it's in great condition.

Easiest ever for me is still Carpro Perl,
Easy on with any type of wee sponge etc.
Gives a nice Matt finish and will build up over time

Last forever too as you mix it 2:1 for tyres.

Bonus is can also mix it 3:1 for all trim and even leather inside as well
