My choice would be the Puma or even better, if you can get one a 1.7 Fiesta

Know of a 1.7 puma somthing like 40k miles been layin in a garage for years so obviously no mot r tax but wouldn't need much if anything if you were interested under budget

should be plenty of mechanically sound ones for sale that people are getting rid off due to arch rust etc...

I've just bought the wife a '96 mk4 Fiesta 1.25 Ghia for £330. It only has 45000 miles on it but the T&T only lasts till the end of July :grinning:
