1.8t P0172 System to rich

I do remember i had a 1.8t in my mk2 golf

Was very fussy on temp sensor.

Make sure its a genuine one?

Was just about to say this - you can get away with nearly anything else generic - CTS seem to need to be genuine "new" green sensors.

Theyre not too bad from skoda around 35 quid.

What you see with the temp needle on the dash isn't what the ECU sees for fuelling. The temp sensor has 2 elements one for the dashboard needle and one that the ECU uses for fuelling. You'll notice the temp sensor has 4 pins.
