currently looking at these. albeit estate and dsg.

funny, volvo v60 was another i was considering

VRS is a much nicer steer that the Volvo, steering very woolly in volvo.
There would be alot more room in a Octavia estate than a V60. Boot in V60 isn't as big as you would imagine, with a very high floor.
Our V60 does have a sweet 5 cyl engine though.(for a diesel)

2014 Octavia VRS Petrol 6spd man (217bhp) in Race Blue
Got this over Christmas (off a RMS member), loving it so far, very smooth and comfortable,
quicker than I thought it was going to be and extremely roomy and practical.
Plenty of toys and a lot fresher than I've had for a long time
(2014 with only 18k) and I can get 37-39mpg very easily to work and back.
Just need to get used to FWD again.
Last time I drove FWD every day was 1999.....
Has black pack, Canton DAB Sound system, Winter pack (Heated seats mirrors and windscreen)
Pics are a bit dull as the sun was just about down by the time I had it polished this afternoon.
