A 2.0 tdi Passat, it will start no problem when cold but when warm it sometimes won’t start, as if it’s a lazy battery but the battery was replaced. Has anyone any ideas? Thanks in advance

what year is it? the 2005-2007s had a steering lock issue that stopped them starting sometimes and was very intermittent but it would flash up on the dash. are you getting any fault codes or engine light on? is it cranking at all or just unresponsive?

Volvo's!
If its turning over its not a ignition issue, my money on the starter also. Has glow plugs when its cold so probably starts quicker hence why you don't notice the lazy starter when cold

Most likely the starter if you can get it on a computer and check live data the crank has to spin at 280rpm to start when warm so if starter is slow will cause issues
