Pushed the car outside so I could finish the red td so it can go to its new owner

Think it sits just at the right height. Gonna look strange tho once the splitter goes on, the BTCC cars have no skirts so it’s gonna look low at the front then really silly high for the rest 🤔View attachment 406985
Will be grand. If you drop it anymore the front splitter will catch every blip in the road, the only other option is air as someone suggested

I'd drop it another whack and say bugger to practicality, but I'm a stancey fanboi

Class project, looking forward to progress.

To be honest, if it's going to be a daily/frequent driver then a big race car air dam at the front will always be a compromise.

So either go all in as mentioned above for the right looks, and sod practicality. Or maybe find a less extreme bumper and get the stance but still keep practicality.

Tough choice in this case! Just depends how close to the race cars you wanted to stay I suppose.

For being a road car that’ll get driven daily don’t wanna spend that kinda money on it.
Ive got something similar on the daily, it wasnt even that low but ive had to raise the car up as it was catching absolutely everything. Because its facing out it still catches a lot tbh

Id say see how it goes and judge it when you start driving it

I’ll keep the height as is an plough on, it’s a standard cavalier bumper just with an added lip so hopefully it’ll be alright. I’ll put the lip on this evening when I’m out an see how far it’s off the ground

Right, smaller tyres and down another 40mm 😎
Smaller tyres would leave me scared of hitting a pothole an cracking a rim. I bought these brand new from Italy 5 years ago then had them painted straight away
I don’t mind the beefy tyres

I reckon definitely room for more low there. Another 35-40mm, as said above, would be perfect.

Yeah you so actually have loads of clearance there. I can measure mine from the ground to give you an idea of what's workable for a daily

So thanks to @southsky sunrise I have now sorted a shed
Not the 1 advertised but when I went to view the 1 above he did say he had a smaller shed, I had a look an said this will do me
Smaller, lower ceiling so can be heated
Bathroom also, downside is I've no height for the lift, that sold last night along with my racking
It's also got a booth, so I'm gonna attempt to spray my 2 cavaliers myself

So the lift an storage racking went last night
Went out for a few hours this evening to try clean up an see wats not needed

But ended up looking at the engine bay of the BTCC rep build an said nah let's work more on this

First up I had an auto V6 rad fitted an was leaking so out it came an I bought 2 new rads, 1 for a V6 an another for a 2ltr 8v mk2, bit of googling part numbers to find out which is which, once I had that sorted in it went
PXL_20240428_174750609.jpg

Then had to reroute wiring, was a tad messy

But 20 mins later
PXL_20240428_212744179.jpg

Full loom placed where it should be, all hoses, rad an water bottle all fitted an plumbed
All wiring plugged an complete

Rad fan an fan switch fitted an plugged in

Looking at these pictures annoys me, I should have just kept working on this, none the less, progress is progress
