So after two years of BMW 530d ownership, the economy came under question with my man maths due to increased miles, and I've been looking at other options for several months now.
An Octavia Estate DSG seemed a good choice, but they lack quality. An i40 estate auto was another option, but they are mostly big miles or out of budget.
I then seen this, a 2011 Skoda Superb Elegance, 2.0-litre 140 CR, DSG. I always assume they were a saloon, but they are in fact that AND a hatchback.
Offering pretty much the same comfort and quality of my older 530, and with a great spec, I went to see @bob a few weeks ago and a deal was done.
I picked it up today after it got belted, serviced and a DSG service done, as well as my personal plate added. Loved the 90 minute drive down the road home.
Plans are to tint the back end ASAP and enjoy full on old man wafting.
