This is an adapter cable that connects to a 30 pin Apple connection and converts it to a Lightning plug. It can be used in VAG and BMW’s to connect to the 30 pin media cable to give a Lightning connection. It retains full display and control of the tracks on the car radio. Only the genuine Apple cable will work like this.

It also offers the advantage of additional length over the standard short cable.

£10, or £15 including a VW/Audi cable.

It’s sold I’m afraid Neil.

I have another with a bit of tape near the end though? The outer white sheath was fraying and I taped it up. Still works 100%.
