b6 passat airbag control module.. Anyone clued up?

So had the airbag light come on on my 2008 passat 2.0tdi - read codes and it tells me defective airbag control module. Tried resetting it but it just comes straight back.

So got the module removed and got the part number off it. I believe these are coded to the car? If i get one with the same part number and everything will i get away without having to code it? or will it need coded regardless?

Any advice from anyone who has experienced this before would be much appreciated.

They used to be indexed aswell as having a part number....but the index relates to the crash sensors. I dont think the sensors on the B6 are indexed as there should only be one part number for them, so really it should be programmable to your vehicle according to spec (aslong as you get the correct number)

Thanks mate I have ordered one with the exact same part numbers and everything on it so hopefully it should just be a swap over job.

Well new module arrived today. Got it in this evening and all is good again, for now! lol
