BMW M2 Android Auto Retrofit

Hi,

Can anyone help me out, I would like to retrofit android auto in my M2, I have seen lots of ebay listings and the likes for a module that can be installed to achieve this.

Has anyone done it and could help tell me what I need to purchase? Thanks

What year M2?

You will have two options either fit an aftermarket MMI box which will have android auto built in. Done this on my E61 for CarPlay and it’s a great bit of kit.

Or replace the screen which has an MMI box fitted.

Unfortunately android auto was not introduced from factory until iDrive 7 which was never fitted to the M2.

It's Nov 2017, I think someone suggested it is the EVO ID6 system, has touchscreen...

Could you help me identify which MMI box I need? Do you know would the android auto be wireless or would I need to have my phone plugged in to use it?

What one did you buy? Was it easy to fit? Considering fitting one to a f30
