BMW M240i

Just picked up this 2016 M240i on Sunday from a local owner in Holywood.
The car is fitted with the full M performance kit from factory including splitter, diffuser, side skirts and M performance exhaust
Estoril Blue
Factory 405m forged alloys (a nightmare to clean)
M4 style spoiler and mirrors.
25k miles

Definitely needs a bit more noise as the exhaust is pretty tame but loving it so far !

Thanks ! They’ll all love the wake up call I’m sure ! Definitely doesn’t quite shake the whole house like the RS3 tho @Cproc14

That’s all the modifications for now but really happy with it. No drone whatsoever from the exhaust and although it’s not mega loud it’s a definite improvement from stock with many more burbles in sport and maybe a 20% increase in volume. Cold starts however are pretty noisy The springs have made it sit much better although a bit scared of the splitter! Glad I didn’t choose the motech stance+ Springs as that would have been dangerous.

Nothing changed in the last few months apart from new tyres all round and passed MOT last week!
Just washing, driving and filling with many tanks of petrol ️
Car will need serviced and a gearbox service (I’ve bought the kit for gearbox service) August time so if anyone could recommend a BMW specialist close-ish to Bangor it would be appreciated!
As far as I’m aware BMW say the ZF8 doesn’t need serviced but ZF say every 6 years or 60k miles so to be safe I’ll get it done.

Not near Bangor but for gearbox service Turkington pitstop in Belfast has all the right gear, and does gearbox services regularly - rather than giving it to someone who might not do as many or be as familiar.

That was a shorter ownership than expected A fun 10 months but onto something which insurance companies aren’t so scared to insure… but hopefully the new one will be even more fun and better in the twisties
