Carb cleaner?

Im looking to clean out the Idle Control Valve on my car and was told to use carb cleaner, since i havent got any handy i wondered if it would be ok to use electrical cleaner, anyone know?

just go & buy a tin from any local motor factors

electrical cleaner isnt used for cleaning oil n grime is it?

alternativly get some cellulose thinners or petrol and leave your ICV in that for an hour or so

Cheers Gambit, ill just go and buy some but electrical cleaner can be used for oil and grime.
