The Road Safety Council is organising a challenge for all Car Modification Enthusiasts in Northern Ireland. "Clock The Lough" is a competition that is offering a £1000 prize for the winning driver and £1000 for the winning navigator. The event will take place on Sunday 4th September with a gala prize evening to be held on Friday 9th September in the Park Plaza, Aldergrove.
A maximum of 100 vehicles can take part each requiring a driver and navigator with an entry fee of only £40.00 per vehicle. Competitors will start from one of several locations (Stage Points) around Lough Neagh, circumnavigating the Lough by following a pre-determined route. They will then be required to stop at each of the "Stage Points" and carry out a road safety themed test, quiz or manoeuvres.
