Can i just add that the marshals think that as long folk don't endanger themselves or others then they are free to explore the handling of their cars.(after all we are motorsport fans too!)

However the restrictions on yesterdays events were passed down to us from the powers that be and we had no choice but to ask everyone to abide by them.

It is not what we wanted to do and I hope club gti will talk with kirkstown to ensure the future for trackdays remains bright!

Great job yesterday arthur and as you say you were just following powers that be orders to ensure future events.Meeting soon with them .........btw do residents not kick up when rally cars are blasting round the track at full tilt at rallycross, also bike track days, also tvr days etc?Forgot to say to Richard yesterday.

Thanks again...must have been frustrating for you standing at your favourite spot and not seeing sideways action LOL

It was frustrating mate, especially as there is alot of noise with other events, however there surely must be other reasons. Keep us informed as to how the meetings go!!

Bike days are sundays...hardly quiet 45+bikes all going round at once LOL....some tvr days are on sundays

I thought it was a good day. I was too feared to go on the track (crappy escort brakes!), but i got out as a passenger a couple of times! Did the quarter mile too which was good. What happened to the sapphire? It broke when we were behind it. Take it something in the transmission went? It was going very well up til then!

Can i say a big thank-you to everyone who helped and came along to support the track day.... I hope yas all had as much fun as we did

Some smashing cars on track and in the paddock.... its great to see them all being enjoyed to the max

Can I also repeat Nigels words, and thank everyone for bearing with us under the strict rules we had to adhere to on the day.... it was very frustrating for us all, the marshalls... and yourselves not being able to let your hair down in the usual manner, but we where tied by the powers that be on this one.... next year, im sure the rules and regulations will change again, but while we are able to, ( and we are very stubborn ;) ) we will do our damndest to continue our track days and share the fun with you all

Big thank-you to the marshalls too for looking after us all as usual in their first class manner

A great finally to a tough, but enjoyable year of track events.... looking forward to next year.... with our preparations already in full swing.... Looking forward to seeing yas there

PS, didnt the gearbox blow in the cossie? Stunning car; it was behind us from N'ards on the way to the track in the morning and i had my eyes permanently in the rear view mirror looking at it :p

I take it u were the guy in the maroon van, with the golf in tow., who was rocording the 1/4 mile times.,.,!! cause that was who we were behind most of the way there!!!

Unfortunately cosbine's gearbox did go, but as rodney said, if u aint breaking, u aint trying!! ;)

But no doubt between designated driver, and cosbine, the sierra will be up and running in no time! 8)

Carefully
I had a fecking gr8 day out on the track.

I went on for about 5 sessions and my brakes haven't felt the same since, lol!!!

Would definitely do it again, and again!

Those kit cars where frightening and that cossie was class to name but a few...
