Had the daughter's Fiesta in for a water leak which turned out to be a leaking thermostat housing. While sorting that, I found a few other issues like a torn downpipe flexi which turned into a having to take the turbo off due to 2 studs for the downpipe breaking off in the turbo, a dozed / worn torque mount, bent steering arm, 4 new tyres and a broken rear spring. All done and running like a champ, got it MOT'd Monday week ago and gave it back to the daughter. Nearly a week later, it was having problems starting and long story short, I have it back and it's got coolant in the cylinders for the head gasket is gone.

Looking online, all that appears to happen is people putting replacement engines in rather than fixing the head gasket. So, the question is, has anyone on here replaced a HG or had one replaced? Hoping that it is purely a gasket gone as it wasn't boiling or anything else, maybe a skim. Got the other daughter's Clio up for MOT on Monday so doing a service and check over on it prior to stripping the Fiesta. Funtimes lol.
