Getting a car transported from across the water

I take cars from england But have no tow bar...if I did...would go colect that car 4 ya pac man...

Cheers Richard, i have a tow-bar, just no trailer, plus the car with the tow bar is smaller than the one needing trailered! :roll:

what kinda car's it outa curiosity. Would you consider having it repaired over there and drive it back (or get someone else to drive it). It would save a bit on cost and hassle and the repair has to be done anyway once you get it home

I have the parts required to fix the car sitting in the garage, and can do it myself quite easily. Brakes would need to be bled, etc,

@ Seanbob - Best to Go over and Pay for the car ... If Its Driveable, Drive it back ... Will save you so much money ... If you cant get Cheap Flights its £40 over with Ulsterbus, thats Bus and Ferry... (Prob £60 Return)

@ Paclad ... Was Chattin to Paddy Mc C and he mentioned to Try Woodside? If You Cant get it home in the next week or so Lad, I'll go over and Put the Brake cylinder on it and Drive it back, if they'll will be somethere to Pump the brakes for me when im bleeding them? Though, Might not be a good Idea incase the Brake pipe nuts are sized to the pipe and the whole lot runs around or something... Then ya could be in bother..

Yeah, Paddy said to try Woodside, still haven't had the chance to ring round and get prices. The whole idea of fitting the master cylinder doesn't appeal at all, as its quite possible to be left stranded if things go tits up. Can't be too careful when brakes are concerned. :cry:

with P&O its £25 for additional passengers not pre-booked so it would be no cheaper with us than walking on if you're only going to stranraer.
