After seeing these kind of results posted ont he ITR forum last week i took it upon myself to buy some of this gear

DSC00171.jpg

i got it from this guy on ebay :

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8039319697&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

it arrived within 2-3 days, and i finally got a chance to test it today.

What can i say, it goes on easy as you like, i covered the whole car, left it while i polished my mums motor, then returned and took it off. All by hand, no machine polishers or anything, was a bit tricky and hard to get off in places, but i think i`d left it on too long.

But in the end, all off, car in driveway the results were amazing. Although not as stunning a finish as the black teg pictured (obviously a white motor wont shine like that). the car has that "wet look" finish and is smoother than a babys arse so to speak.

i`ve said to ferrett i`ll gladly lend him the wax for his VTi-S so we can see some results on a dark motor, but overall, its does what it says on the tin.

A Class product i`d recommend to anyone

Sounds good, what polishes/waxes do you normally use so we can get a benchmark for the Harly wax?

I take back everything I said about this wax in a previous thread. Used it on Friday night when it was nice and cool and took it off almost immediately. Very, very impressed at the finish and it really was very very easy to take off! Some waxes you can get away with using in warm weather, I dont think this is one tho.

Thats a similar offer to where I got mine Ollie, Serious Performance it was, wax plus a m/f cloth and 2 applicators for £25.

Harly wax didnt impress me much at all to be honest. Awkward enough to take off, but then I didnt do it panel at a time. Plus ive seen much better finishes with other products. Just my opinion anyway.

What products do you like fatboyslim? I find that Harly needs to be taken off immediately, and a bonnet or roof needs done in halves, before it totally dries. The first two times I used it I left it on too long and it was a nightmare to take off and I didnt like the finish. A wax ideally needs a clean surface to really show what it can do so I'm looking forward to getting the car clayed and polished this weekend and layering on some Harly to see what it can do.

menzerna FMJ or P21S carnuba wax are my 2 - love the FMJ for the unreal finish and P21S for wetness and depth of colour - just did ewoks 325 tonight and finished with Menz FMJ and the amount of mates who are now looking for me to detail their cars too!!!

it doesn't last particularily long, but the finish is unreal - i did my brothers RS Turbo Escort with it after poorboys 2.5 and megs #80 and it was unreal - he couldn't believe the result, and neither could i!

he has been washing once or twice a week since with a good carwash (our own! lol) and the P21S beading and colour depth are still apparent ruth...

i`m open for trying new things, i`ve been in the meguairs / autoglym brigade for too long, branched into Zymol a few times and loved it, so i thought i`d try a few different ones :grinning:

i left it on too long, so ive learnt for next time, but seriously impressed with it today sitting outside work in the sun... almost blinding its that bright..

i just wish white gave more of a wet look shine :worried:

gonna try poor boys gear pretty soon tho :grinning:

Not sure if many ppl use PB's waxes, they seem to be better known for their polishes, sealants and other bits and bobs.

Your better off trying and trying, that way you find products which are good for you and good for your car, i find zymol to be very good :grinning:

Absolutely right, everyone has their favourite products, very few seem to agree!
