you can go into a deeper dicussion relating on pschological behaviour in different genders. Kinda like people who feel they have to be masculine and buy something aggressive looking, image can be a major factor. There are of course very girly cars out today, usually the 'cute' and 'bubbly' ones. showing a prime example of a girl who wants to be seen as girly avoiding coments of driving a fellas car, then again it can be percieved in different ways down to drivers interests etc. Most girls like to pose and be seen, so convertibles are their fav choice, fellas like to be seen to but its just an ego boost, thus the whole modified car scene can be full of posers who forget that cars should be driven and not just ornaments. It can be compared to humans animal derived attraction instincts, the male has to look dominant and so likes fast powerful machines to make him look and feel more dominant and girls like posy or small cars because they have to be dominated and impressed by the males. Right i have waffled on quite a bit, most of it probably doesnt make sense but hey its a discussion forum so its my opinion. lol

seems so,

chicks wear battle paint - wee lads stick plastic onto their car and hang halfway out the drivers window

There are exceptions to the generalizations - anyone see Sabine on Top Gear?

You say big cars are for men. If anyone saw that Top Gear With Jeremy Clarkson goin round the nurburg spelling??? in a diesel Jag. He cld barely get it in under 10mins or sumfin.

The the German Chick flew round in the same car under 9 mins.
SO I THINK there are more and more women gettting into to the mod scene and they are just as good now. Someways better and more ballsy. For example was it not a chick that had a 206 with pink furr boot install.
Now What male would have that.

Though I find it a bit Tomboyish for girls to be into cars etc. They would look better in the passenger seat rather than the driver seat.

@mook - I do carry my own shopping :p The opening door thing rarely happens these days, but is that not a courtesy thing anyway?

@Con - what sexist keek. Women should be driving - we don't feel the desire to show off (and consequently lose their licenses for a year :p ), we drive safely, we have cheaper insurance. The day I sit around waiting for a man to take me anywhere... :p
