An amazing achievement. No regrets leaving Honda, that's for sure.

They were saying on the TV news that he is the first person to win 3 championships, but did Foggy not win 4?

Thats correct, but JR is the only person to win 3 consecutively.

I went to see him win in Portugal and to be honest he was streets ahead of the rest of the field in pace and style. It was awesome to see in person.
Excellent achievement!

Congratulations to our own Johnny Rea !
WSBK Champion x 3 !! :grinning:
Now officially a legend !! (y)
2nd that but always a legend imo....imo he would have won more championships if he hadnt stayed loyal to honda for so long.
Need a good factory ride for moto gp...can see him staying in wsb me thinks.
Anyone going to ballyclare to see him tomorrow night?

I'll probably be there with the young lad (provided the weather isn't like tonight) its only 15 minutes up the road.

Class achievement from Jonny, so proud of him, but feck that championship is hard to watch currently. I switched it on to enjoy watching him lift the trophy but he made a couple of seconds on the first lap!! Kwaks are too good, followed by dukes and then no use at all.

Would love to see him in MotoGP, really enjoyed following Michael and Eugene in the top flight :grinning:

And for a change, the top flight racing is the most exciting which we can't complain about.

Ohh here, what's the craic re. ballyclare tonight?

Sixmile leisure centre at 7.30, no tickets required. If going in a bike there's a meeting at 7pm in the Ballymartin park and ride to travel up in convoy and escorts Jr up to Ballyclare.

I'm taking the Tengai up a spin lol, complete with Paddy Dakar dirt still on it as I've no time to clean it.

So....... went down to this earlier, tbh it seemed a bit thrown together with no real idea what was happening. JR and Stephen Watson standing on the reception desk and no.mic.
Good turnout all the same and good to see plenty of bikes in support.

Nice Ferrari outside aswell think it was Johnnys'.

Went up myself for a look, quite a good turnout seeing as it was thrown together. Luckily got handed a ticket to get into the event an all, I know a lot of people ended up stuck outside sadly.

La Ferrari outside is Philip Shields(Breezemount Motorsport), they pulled into the park and ride to see the bikes before we all left in convoy.

^^ Ahh right. I wondered who owned the red motor, it wasn't there when we went in so I assumed it was Johnny arriving in style with the heater on. lol
Yeah, there were a few standing outside when we arrived, the door bloke told us it was full so no more allowed in yet. Then Willie John McBride and his missus arrived and about 5 of us dandered in behind him. (y)

JR slummed it in an i8!

As stated above the organisation was not wonderful ... even though they took great pride in saying they were planning it for weeks. Appreciate what they were trying to do nut could have been better

place was rammed though (which was obviously very nice for him and for people to give up their spare time) but i doubt 3/4 of the people there had any real interest in WSB which is a shame for the 'true' fans of the sport and have been watching JR in his days in BSB, supersport classes etc. Not a pop at anyone just a general observation.

I had to laugh at the staff at the leisure centre ... a few of them were in complete power trip mode ... it was quite frankly ludicrous and scary that some people think like that when the opp arises!
