Quite recently I got word my father has cancer and a few months left to live

He had lots of Honda bikes himself

My uncle had lots of kawasaki’s

I’ve always wanted a bike but never rode one

now that my fathers life is limited I want to get a bike before he passes

kawasaki zzr600 1990-1993
Anyone any idea about them?

Never had one but they were a very reliable bike with no unusual problems. They just seem to keep going. Reasonable nick and an mot £700-1000 ballpark. Just remember like any bike of this size, 2 new tyres and a new chain and sprocket can make about £200-300 of a difference.

Any reason why they are a bad seller?
Sorry to read about your dad, we were in the same place 12 months ago
I think it is because they are an in between bike, not sports and not commuter bike. Anyone I know who owned one loved them.

Didn't think they especially bad but probably just the age and value of them theres a variety of things to buy and 600 sports arent just as popular as they once were. Plus most people think about the CBR first and they were a wee bit better looking as well.

Yea want something close to £1k to start me off but I’d like something 600cc
Don’t mind something a bit older as most of my cars are ancient 😂

The ZZR 6 is a great bike and will do the job without spending a fortune. A CBR in good condition will be above your budget.
