ok well after looking at estate cars, none were quite big enough to fit for what i needed so its going to have to be a van:sob: ,

the question now is i want something to use at the weekends,
a: something fun like a kit car to use when weather is good, and van other times

or

b: a smart car for using to nip up and down the road in.

or

c: something else which im forgetting?

also want it to be cheap and easy to run. ( hence the smart)

Kit car for definite. You could get something like a Robin Hood for very little money. They're brilliant machines to drive, and even if they have a small capacity engine they'll still be rapid. Plus easy on the juice too due to light weight.
Would your budget stretch to something like a Lotus Elise S1 maybe?
