I got bored of the Leon and as I don’t do many miles, a diesel was wasted on me so set about looking for a possible petrol replacement...

Had thought about changing to a Leon Cupra but decided against that and a Golf R was too much £.

I’ve always fancied a golf gti and love the looks of the mk7, they are a great looking car out of the box.

Found one not too far away, but the advert was woeful so had no option but go for a look. Loved how it drove and had a decent spec so did the deal.

So here it is....

December 2015 (registered 29th December 😬)
Limestone metallic
Keyless entry
Winter pack
Tartan/heated seats
Discover pro nav
18k miles.

Didn’t have any plans for this at all, but that soon changed.

Eibach springs and spacers were ordered up and had them sitting under my desk at the office before the car was collected 🤣

More on that shortly....

Couldn’t edit the original post....I’ve had the car since end of November and had been gathering parts for some subtle mods.

Eibach pro kit springs (have these in the e46 and had them in the Leon and couldn’t fault them)
15mm and 20mm front/rear spacers
New VW performance pack brake calipers
High carbon discs
HEL braided hoses
KSB front lip
Turbosmart 50/50 blow off valve
Badgeskins GTI overlays.

That’s lovely. With all the R’s about it’s nice to see a GTI.

They are great cars, such a nicer place to be than the Leon.

No more pics, just the ones I've uploaded....might get some more this weekend.

They need them IMO....wheels sit too far into the arches.
