Thanks batman, most appreciated.

Most do as I'm sure you know. Get rid of the Uganda on it before it gets worse :grinning:. Then it seems to be a case of cutting out arches etc.

I was actually referring to the exhaust I got of @john740 lol

But yes I have a little on the boot lit and bonnet to sort out

I dont think ive ever seen one of these in real life. Looks showroom. So did the more doors not come with a spoiler then?

Looks great, as said in other posts something very understated about the more door examples. In a year or so I will have an E36 M3!

Super purchase wee_neiler, just can't get enough of these to be honest! Health to steer (y)

My only complaint is that I'm putting too many miles on my own cause I just can't get my @rse out of it

I seen your thread on Pistonheads and thought thats one hell of a nice car. I had E36 M3 Coupe's a few years ago and would never considered a saloon, but now after seeing this I really want one. Estoril Blue is the best colour for the evo, I think a Daytona Violet 3.0L would be fit looking aswell. All the best with it mate.

Thats a really cool car!!

LOL thanks mate :grinning:

that's a belter mate i prefar saloon (y)

Me too, love the lines of it... But more subtle!

It will be showroom condition soon... The spoiler was an option I believe. Now that I have the car, I'm glad it doesn't have one. Makes the cars lines much cleaner.

They are getting rarer by the day. Its a great drivers car... Not that I have had time to drive it much though...

Good luck, be careful though!

Stunning! Love it

Thanks mate :grinning:

I'll have to drive it into work some day, they are truly great daily drivers... However mine is a second car, so hope to keep the miles off it. Sure as you know, it does not good having them not turning a wheel. Thanks though .

It is rare to see a 4 door 1. Fine example + I love the fact it has no spoiler.

Me too :grinning: and thank you.

Thank you kindly sir. I wouldn't mind a tidy hell rot red coupe... or Daytona Voilet like you say....

damn thats nice!

Thanks mate

Some people were asking about interior shots...

I personally love the wood (wahey). Its very period, suits the car and its image.

My job for this evening was to continue to work on scores and paint chips on the car. But mainly to replace the rear window seal. A very easy job actually, my father helped towards the end to fit the new one. The thin handles of a set of draper circlip pliers helped to seat the seal, top tip!

The common problem... The corners of the seal are made from different material to the rubber seals. Over time they disintegrate. I removed it and was left with this...

The new and old seal. Yes that big cardboard box for the little seal!

The seal removed, ahhh the dirt (this is after a quick wipe).

A better clean. It's not rusted to pieces back here, PHEW!

The new seal fitted. That will do another sixteen years!

That interior is in some condition.

I love that RMS has turned into the E36 M3 restoration club. Great to see so many examples being looked after and genuinely mint.

Thanks Mrs.

That's a fairly honest shot of the interior too, only been given a quick once over. There are a few marks on the wood trim which I will have to look at replacing or repairing.

So much for being unique ;). As a mate has said for a long time the E36 is very undervalued. It was just a big change from the E30. Great cars, more and more people are realising that now.

Well now the M3 is there is a bit more leniency given to the A5. In short its a great looking car, very well made with an awesome interior. I guess it was never designed to be, its just always the most fun to drive. The Quattro helps a great deal with the fun factor. It's not a drivers car though. But the mechanical grip provided by the wider 19" wheels and the Quattro is remarkable.

A little update from the weekend.

The plugs have now been changed. The old plus were in fairly good condition and nothing on the plugs seemed to say anything was amiss with how the engine was running. After changing the plugs I'm delighted to say the car started, phew! I'd almost say it seems to rev / pick up a little better...

While the spark plug cover was off, I gave it a quick clean up, most of the time was spent on the lettering... It really needs another going over and the black area repainted.
