Frick, would like to think number 2 is nonsence.. what bout dealers who have aftermarket suspension fitted standard? How can the MOT prove it isnt from factory, obviously coilies would be an obvious one...Does anyone have any information regarding the impending changes to the MOT in our country? Ive heard a lot of stories recently. A couple of the things I have been hearing are 1. There will be no re-test fee, it will cost the same every time - the full amount. 2. Aftermarket suspension of any type will fail MOT. Surley no 2 is nonsense?
Cheers mate i thought so. Looks like i'll be fiddlin with it tomorrow then, the joys of M.O.TI think they need to see it light up for a few seconds and then go out again lad.

my understanding is that the coilover springs have to be tight once the car is jacked up all round on the sills.I have a 1976 Mini due MOT in the next month, does anyone know how this will affect me? Is there anything that it would be exempt from? It has coilovers but isnt sitting too low, are these ok?
If its road legal it will pass.....same as a rallycar

Theres a date of manufacture that was brought in regarding needing a CAT. Not 100% what date it was.Anyone failed MOT for no CAT at the min? Reason i ask, is id need to firstly, buy (borrow) a CAT, cus my "welded" piece out, and either weld flanges on, so i can bolt the cat in, or get it welded in.. Not sure i can be botherd, unless i reli reli reli have to .
