Octavia Scout 1.8tsi not boosting

My wife's scout has suddenly stopped boosting and as a community nurse in the glens needs it to pull up some of the steeper hills.
Po299 under boost code,
oil mist leak on top pcv cover
Remove oil filler and there is immediate suction and she then runs off a cylinder.

I think it is the pcv seal gone and also the rocker cover inorganic seal as well. My mechanic is a normal ni dirty derv spanner man so could end up firing the parts cannon at it.

Any recommendations around Carrick/Larne to get it sorted. Cheers for any pointers

If my 1.8T develops a problem I usually just drive on until either:
a.) the problem disappears, or
b.) another, even worse problem takes over.

I do know I had to replace a lot of the hoses in mine after I had a boost leak, I found a lot of them split.
