Maybe my memory is hazy but I’m pretty sure a cousin of my grandas had a very late MK3 that came with a drivers airbag. I always sat in it as a kid and played with the hand controls as she had lost her leg due to diabetes.

I had one of the last MK3's and it had a drivers airbag, and a passenger one was an option

I think I see a V6 badge on the back of that MX3. It was the smallest V6 ever in a production car. 1800cc.

I love spotting them - used to be a sprint blue one up the road from my in-laws

I would have another (had 3 8P's) no problem

Not sure I could get over my VAG hate to own one but they have aged really well, guessing they faceliftsd them? Cause some look there age and some look really fresh.

The 8P came out in 2004 which had a twin grill then in 2005/06 came the single grill and next facelift came out in 2008/09

Called them 8P1, 8P2, 8P3 unofficially

The PFL S3 came out late 2006 and FL around 08/09

Mine was a 2007 PFL and wife’s 2009 A3 was FL

They are one of the best looking vw’s for sure, think the early ones are the best looking as well. Love the dark purple with the wingbacks.

Mine was Revo Stage 1 with Revo intake, was a quick car!
