A shame it is only on pay-TV, completely lost interest in WRC after it disappeared from the screen :worried:

Hope Kris does well though!

I think it was inevitable Meeke would get swallowed up by the Fords on a charge. Meeke has no experience of Rally De France and prior knowledge is vital to good times. That said, third appearance or so, still a mighty competitive performance. Get her to the finish lads!! (y)

Report from WRC.com

111001_meeke.jpg

Kris Meeke is out of Rallye de France Alsace following his crash on stage 13 of the world championship qualifier, Hohlandsbourg.

Briton Meeke and Irish co-driver Paul Nagle were in a strong fifth overall when they skated off the road after going over a patch of gravel on the 9.87-kilometre test.
Both crew were uninjured although it is understood their MINI John Cooper Works WRC suffered extensive damage after it struck a tree stump some 15 metres off the road.
The MINI WRC Team’s technical mentor David Lapworth confirmed the car is beyond immediate repair and Meeke won’t be able to restart under SupeRally regulations on day two.
“Unfortunately a small mistake has had major consequences,” said Lapworth. “It’s disappointing because Kris was doing a great job. We can’t be too harsh on him because it happens.”
Meeke’s team-mate, Dani Sordo, remains in contention for victory. After 14 stages, the Spaniard is less than five seconds behind leader Sebastien Ogier.

The "free" live feed is so full of commercials and banners it is all but unwatchable. Plus you have to get past all the news first, with all results and stuff plastered all over the web site, which kind of spoils it. And have time to sit there.

It is all just cynical grabs for advertising revenue, they do not give a pig's fart about fans watching the sport.

Cannot be a**ed to watch you-tube etc.

With MotoGP, F1 (for now...), BTCC, BSB, etc., there is plenty of motorsport on proper TV. Just not worth all the hassle watching rubbish WRC coverage on a computer screen.

What advertisements? All i get is 1 before it loads and that's it, are you sure we are talking about the same live stream?. Plug in TV and enjoy, simples. :grinning: F-1 soon will be restricted as well, MotoGP is boring as hell, so all we will be left with is BTCC.

Ah, did not know that Cess. Freesat is separate from Sky though, is it not? Has BBC HD, etc.?

Just too lazy to faff around to be honest, lol, if it is not on my normal Freeview TV box with free PVR then I just cannot be bothered. If the organisers make it that hard to follow their sport, then so be it.
