Registering a car from england - how long?

when you hand in the tax book to tax office how long usually does it take to come back to you?

did it today and wondering how long before I get it back.

If its an English V5, you'll prob get a certificate of permenant export. I've waited 8 weeks one time!

thats all done away with now mate. you just hand the tax book into the local office and they sort it.

Aye well thats what I did, back in the day. I take it you just get a new V5?

yeah i think its changed cos we use the new V5s same as england.
