I called for a quote, for an evo, to be told that because my current car is not a performance car that they could not quote me, useless.
What is your current car? How do they even define "performance".
Isn't that the point - they are focussed on performance cars not all cars and have specialised underwriters for this reason?Currently driving a mk4 golf having sold the fd2 last year, he didn’t seem to care that my previous cars had included evos, Subaru’s, a skyline, numerous type rs among other performance cars. They seem to define the performance on the BHP of your current car....he told me to give Adrian Flux a ring lol.

Valid. If they wouldn't quote for an Evo then they have an interesting take on performance. Even my wee polo gti qualified lolYea but he was looking to get a quote for an Evo.

See post above. Thought it was the golf.Is an evo not a performance car? They could quote for an evo but couldn’t give me a quote as I was driving a mk4 golf as my current car.
They tried that on me too. I went from an 320hp impreza to a 170hp Leon. When I came back to a 330hp impreza they weren't having it. Luckily i had been insured with them the whole time and the Leon was only for a year and I was accepted. Is an evo not a performance car? They have their reasons I suppose. Can't have people jumping from a 150hp car to a 300+ without some doubt in their minds that they'll be making a claim pretty soon. I'd consider PMing Tony and explaining previous car history (again)Funny thing is, I was recommended to them by a friend of mine who was driving a mk4 golf and they insured him on a Mk6 gti, strange policy to have.
Sounds like the same fella I got last year.Just rang up didn't even give my address or name or anything asked about hp for my mk2 golf and basically said take the other quote you got.
Really not sure how green light managed to do a quote without any of details that I assume you need aka address job where's it's sorted modifications or anything
