Well, after a couple of years of speculation, fears of hybrid 4wd drivetrains and smaller capacity engines, Ford have confirmed the 5.0 V8 is staying and is RWD, in these times that’s brave imo and Ford must be applauded by the very small proportion of nutters like me for keeping the faith!!!

I can’t wait to see it, digital interior, covered official pics and a render from someone who usually gets it right.

We’ll see on Wednesday :grinning:

bet they don’t do a rhd

Well they’ve said it’s a world car again, Australia also can’t get enough of them as it’s the best selling sports car there lol I’d say there’s a fair chance they will, won’t be well recieved here though with electric taking over :worried: so we might not see them

Looking forward to seeing it! I really liked the s550 pre-facelift design. Its actually one of my all time favourite car designs. The facelift was very unresolved for me. I had the 2017 and my dad bought the 2019 and the latter never got better the more I saw it. I have my sights set on a Corvette for next year but the Mustang could be tempting. I just have a terrible suspicion that if it is sold here again that prices are going to get a hefty hike. I could see them being in the late £50k's or early £60k's with minimal options compared to £35k of 2016. That would rule me out.

If it's a RHD C8 then good luck lol I enquired Dec 2021 and was told it would be early 2024 and they wanted £10k up front.
Any of the "used" or "nearly new" models for sale are a good £40-50k on top of the new price.

Ah no, it will be a classic. Not sure which generation but a nice C5 or even a C3 would be tempting.

Leaked accidentally on purpose? 6 hours before the event the pics are out. Looks good to me, more an evolution of the current car, although I really hate the interior, the Merc style iPad dash just isn’t for me.

I like it.
Not a fan of the dash though. I liked the old style dials in my ‘17. Didn’t think I’d like the digital cluster as much but I really like it in my current one, probably because it still has the old style surround.
I don’t like the tablet style shown there at all, doesn’t suit the car imo.

Digital dash is great, so configurable but needs to be in a proper dash with a binnacle like yours imo

I remember seeing somewhere before that this was Frods "special" colour it used for concept cars and was particularly expensive to mix; be interesting to see if it's actually available at order time.

Seen there was a thermal image of the engine on the forum too, showing the twin throttle bodies and air intakes.

Exterior is very nice, Interior really lets it down. Just all a bit meh inside.

Since the new M4 competition is eleventy-million pounds, and hopefully this isn't, I could be tempted with a dark horse version to replace the M4 in a few years....

Really want to sample a NA V8

That’s exactly where my thoughts have been the last couple of days too!

id like to see this profile compared with previous model - for some reason that new model just looks to be too tall at the front - almost jeep like proportions on the size of it. - near enough reminds me of a mazda 6 front which from suffers the same imo

Since the new M4 competition has a face even a mother couldn’t love

I’ve corrected that lol

I’ll take a stab at GTs being £58k and the dark horse S being close to £80k, I’m not convinced we’ll get those though

I really hope I’m wrong!
