I hardly wear this and there've been a couple of incomings, so time to find a new home for my modified SKX.
It originally started as a standard SKX171, so applied indices, black calendar wheels and a stainless 'starfish' style bezel that set it apart from the others in the SKX range. I wanted to build the ultimate SKX using genuine Seiko parts where possible, so think of it as an OEM+ build and the parts fitted are as follows:
SKX007 bezel and insert.
SKXA035 seconds hand.
Seiko 4R36 movement.
SARB059 engraved crown and stem.
Crystaltimes domed sapphire with a stepped edge as opposed to bevelled giving a flush fit with the bezel insert.
Strapcode Oyster bracelet.
I did have a Seiko MM300 titanium clasp fitted but that now lives on another watch, so the standard clasp has been refitted. The movement was also serviced earlier this year, not because it needed it but because I've seen how poorly they can be oiled so more for piece of mind, and I've also drilled the lugs for easy strap changes - if you've ever tried removing the springbars on a standard SKX you'll know how tricky they can be.
The total cost for this was just shy of £500, so I'll offer it here at £350 posted and no offers please.
