A soft bristle brush and some pears soap from tesco. Gently massage some suds into the wheel and use a microfibre to buff it off.
Dr leather wipes are pretty good at reducing shininess too.
If using the magic sponge, go easy, it will strip off some of the leather sealing, but if done gently it'll only affect the very outer layer where most of the dirt and oils are.
