What’s the best thing to use for cleaning a steering wheel. It was lying in a shed for years and would like to clean it up thanks.

Baby wipes usually lift alot out of steering wheels

A soft bristle brush and some pears soap from tesco. Gently massage some suds into the wheel and use a microfibre to buff it off.

Dr leather wipes are pretty good at reducing shininess too.

If using the magic sponge, go easy, it will strip off some of the leather sealing, but if done gently it'll only affect the very outer layer where most of the dirt and oils are.

Depends what the wheels made of surely? Suede, leather or PU?

Careful with a magic sponge. I tried one after reading a load of forum posts and it removed the dye from the leather ffs.

Magic sponge on leather needs a good lubricant.

Should have said it wasn’t leather, but it came up well with baby wipes
