do they have something down to make them do that? my tamiya would have only done that in the wet. and even they i couldn't hold a drift that long, would lose momentum and sits with the rears spinning, r the 4wd?

the yokomo drift kits, are primarily yokomo's CGM race chassis, shaft driven 4wd.They're that little bit cheaper than the race spec kits,as theres no ballraces, and friction shocks instead of oil filled units.

The drift action comes from the specially developed "drift ring" tyres.. basically you set the camber on the car to use the softer outside of the tire to chuck the car into a corner, then as the car rolls, it leans on the harder centre section of the tyre, allowing the mental drifts.
People will tell you that "tape on the tyres does the same job". thats bollocks, yokomo spent over a year getting the compounds right, to give the besty balance of drift and grip.
You can't beat the real thing.

Beauty of the drift kits is that as it's based on a competitive chassis, if the bug bites, throw a set of oil shocks onto it, proper tires, and come racing.
