Haven't heard of them, but that's not to say they aren't. Anyways, the 2 well known decent ones are 30mins up the motorway when you get a good run, that is not a brave distance 😂😂😂

I went from Lurgan to amg, it’s not a brave distance

Yes I get what you're saying, and thats great, but when you have to factor in the wife going up in convoy to bring you back, and having to take 2 kids, it becomes 2 hours each way. Its not ideal. If I was on my own I wouldn't give it a second thought.

It’s always a nuisance but it’s once a year really.
I have dads 911 in my garage and logistically just not been high enough on priority list but it’s been needed to get over to AMG for 2 months now. Finally going to arrange it on Monday with a lift home and stuff

I’ve inherited sorting it as of dads age I’m not having him dodging about sorting what is a 3rd car.

In saying that though, a routine bit of maintenance won’t be beyond a decent mechanic.

When I got the Macan serviced there wasn’t a huge cost difference between the dealer and McMillan. For the bit extra i felt it was well worth keeping the history fully Porsche.

where as amg would have been fairly cheaper. McMillan does good work but known to charge

Random but dont know where else to post..

Anyone seen the 996 GT2 that Monkey London got the lend of? Unreal car. Seen one once at Hurst by fluke when a mate worked there. Anyone driven one? Dare say they're fairly scary.

My 944 is in with Alan at AMG atm. He’s always been very good. I trailered it up during lockdown but ordinarily I utilise a friend to come with me and bring me home.

@Lyons if you’re considering a Boxster, any normal mechanic can do most of the common things. My 996 has not gone beyond me or my local mechanic yet.

Interesting. I'd probably prefer if it was a specialist, but if not completely necessary then thats fair enough. However my 3 go to mechanics are a BMW specialist, a VW dealership and my wifes uncles- none of them would be appropriate! Alas I haven't got a car yet so not too worried, but these are all things that I'm factoring in to the decision.

Yellow is faster 😁

A "normal" yellow bird is the best car ever made, full stop. That one is just off the scales, brilliant 🤩

Has anyone got a mobile number for amg cars in Ballyclare? A dealer i just bought a cayman off is trying to get a hold of him to fix an issue with it but no answer from the landline so far this week

Looks a lovely car :grinning:

I just got my armrest and gear gator back from the trimmers, wanted a deep yellow stitching for a bit of contrast in my dark cabin, very happy with it, gator had to go back for a small alteration to the hole size!
