MOT time for F994 BOC

Quick check over at AJ’s garage Coleraine, fitted a track rod end to passenger side & cleaned brake pipes.

Boring update: MOT time!

Few things tackled.

All new handbrake cables, shoes and fitting kit, oil and filter, diy ball joint repair kit, power steering strut, a wee stainless patch on the inner sill and a good wash in below. They failed it anyway on drivers side dip being too low, so a retest booked for 2 hours later, a jaunt to a straight looking wall and armed with a star head, she rolled through.

Sorry for getting any hopes up for some sexy photos but it's good to document everything for myself lol. In fact, I'll add some randoms for the craic!

You might of noticed the old wheels back on, I've the other wheels in for a refurbish.

Plan was to paint the middle silver, and repolish the lips back to new but I took a head stagger....couldn't be arsed with dealing with oxidisation every few weeks so instead of silver I did them shadowchrome, pics don't do them justice, but they're fairly lusterous and glossy

Think I might put smaller tires on the rear too, on full dump of the clutch going into second it'll still bite the tire walls (theoretically... id never do that ;) ) even though I've milled the spacers a bit and rolled the arches, maybe needs another mm off the spacers to be sure as I'm not wanting to scobe the fresh paint on these.

Great work Barry! Please don't sell it!

I'm getting really impatient at the moment with none on the road, it's getting to me actually. Hope to see some progress at least on the Turbo this week.

It’s sitting exactly how I want it so I doubt I will part with it.

That would be annoying, especially as all of them don’t really need much to complete in the grand scheme of things.

My wee lady was sold last week to a friend of ours going through a bit of a mid life crisis.

That wee car went everywhere with me, Liverpool, Dublin, Scotland & we were even looking forward to the new Cork > Santander sailing in late April with it. It also proved to be the most reliable car in the household.

Anyway, it’s away now

Nooooooo!
I still have mine Ian but I do have a want for something turbo and 300bhp+

Although saying that, adult life and other commitments tell me to wise up and be lucky I have the toys I have lol

They were near too good to run as a daily. I was just waiting for a split in the ivory linen to appear or an inner sill needing treated.

As you say Laurence maybe it’s time to go up the years a bit.
