VW Scirocco
Hi all,

Long time lurker, first time poster! I'm looking someone thats handy with VCDS in the Newtownabbey/County Antrim area.

I have a 2012 VW Scirocco that seems to have all the equipment for cruise control and it just needs coded in. The car was written off before I owned it and it has the controls on the indicator stalk etc so from the best of my knowledge it just needs activated. I'm aware that the cruise control equipment is plug and play and just needs coded on once installed.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Looking to see if anyone could look at an issue I have with my T5.1 msfw it seems to be coded correctly and the wiring mods seem to be done correctly but only half the buttons are working as intended. Can see the buttons operating and not operating on the instrument operation function on VCDS but not going through the menus correctly ie the trip computer. Volume up and down work but not the mute and the steering wheel doesn’t illuminate. Also seems to be the correctly bcm for the steering wheel.
Cheers

Not sure on the vans, but on the older cars, a retro fitted steering wheel did not control the low line dash. Cars from the factory with a mfsw had a high line dash cluster. This was my experience with a mk5 golf. Radio functions worked, but no control of the dash, so still had to use the stalk.

Could be the problem as it’s a start line van heavily upgraded mite be best to see if a different steering wheel solves the problem. Currently running a polo flat bottom steering wheel

I would be inclined to check the dash first before spending more money. Dash is not an easy swap due to immobiliser

Still has a startline dash so would say it’s more an issue with the type is steering wheel won’t work with the mfsw type that’s in the ecu
