Not back on the road yet unfortunately, I only get a few nights a week to work on it and one day at the weekend.
DSC_0178.JPG

Decided to get the calipers powder coated, so pulled them off and striped them down.
There was a casting line on the front calipers that I filled off.
DSC_0183.JPG

Ten minutes with a file smoothed it out.

Should be nice when they are coated.
I also sent a rocker cover and the front suspension forks for powder coating.

Few bits got the gloss black treatment.

Hopefully have the calipers back next week and hopefully get them fitted with fresh brake fluid.
And see about a bit more painting.

I also changed the the front arms with camber adjustable ksport items, that I've had in the roof space for years.
Might take them out look like a ball ache to adjust once the wheels are on and on the ground.

And I'm just home after a trip to Dungiven to pick up a set of red recaros, not mint but I never paid mint money.
Can't wait to clean them and fit them, should look the part.

It's unbelievable how long everything takes, so much fiddly wee things to do that takes up so much time.

Still waiting on calipers from powder coating, if I don't get them this week I'll take them some where else.

Also got the wing mirrors built up, just need to solder the multi plug back on as I couldn't them apart without cutting the wires.
I'll get those done during the week and fitted.

Looking forward to seeing the finished result ...

Love threads like this ... really interesting!!

Cheers.

I could go into more detail but I've not got time for taking loads of pics and doing much more of a write up.
Would probably bore the socks off yee anyway.

So if you went to jcc you probably seen the mb6.
I was that busy trying to get it ready for the show I never got time to update this.

Had a ball ache with bleeding the brakes once I got the callipers on I couldn't get a good pedal so took the callipers apart and back on then it turned out the master cylinder was fooked so pulled the one off the donor and hay presto fixed. That took up a few nights.

Made seat rails for the recaros, I drilled the rivets of the mb seat rails and welded the sliding bit to the side mount that was on the atr seats and bolted then to the bottom of the recaros which made the seats really low.

A wee bit of sealer to cover up the weld.
DSC_0548.JPG

And painted.
DSC_0564.JPG

DSC_0563.JPG

Seats needed a good clean.
DSC_0550.JPG

Stinky
DSC_0554.JPG

Just cleaned still wet .
DSC_0558.JPG

Clean and dry, turned out well.
DSC_0569.JPG

In the car after a good clean to get nearly three years of dust out.
IMG_20160706_211749.jpg

They really do sit properly low, it feels a really good driving position.

Next up was bootlid, spoiler and rear lip for painting.
All fitted just needed wet sanding and polished my favourite NOT!
IMG_20160703_153813.jpg

And buffing and polishing for a few nights.

Had to bring it out in the sunlight for the first time just to see how it looked. I near creamed ma trunks
IMG_20160707_163049.jpg

Still more polishing after this :confounded:
Then got my uncle down to fit a new screen and put the old rear one in.

That front end
IMG_20160709_001153.jpg

More polishing after that lol
And lowering, that took about three hours to get the right height.
received_1169737089757784.jpeg

Last thing to fit was the scuttle panel which went gloss black no pics.
Then it was jcc.
Drove in dried her and slicked her up, took a photo and had a sex wee in my pants, job well done.
