What Android head unit for E46 M3?

Father in law has a 2002 E46 M3 and would like to swap out the standard head unit for something that would pair up nicely with his Android phone.

He would like to keep the steering wheel controls and make use of the CD changer in the boot if possible. Although CD changer in the boot being made redundant wouldn't be a big issue.

Wouldn't really know the first thing about head units so hoping someone on here can advise!
