window tints

can any one give me a correct answer to the state of window tints

are u aloud them on your front doors or not at all, and if so what percent?

there are certian tints that will pass mot its a very light smoke
however at the minute things are changing I think its soon gonna be illegal to tint ur front windows at all! ( not sure)

the boyf. got his done a few weeks ago at the tyre safety centre cookstown and they knew the legal side of it .
You'd be best asking somewhere like this to be 100% certain

Yes you can tint front windows BAR the Windscreen... Your allowed 1/3 smoke... Which is 33% blacken out... 66% Transparent... The tester they use in the MOT centre is calibrated to 35% I think... Which means they test for 65% of light coming through.. And they "WILL" fail you if theres any less than 65% of light getting through your tints.

I agree it used to be 70% now its went down and they will fail you for it i think as long as you can see your hand through it its ok! But F**k the MOT just buy one!

i got mine tinted, just gonna buy 2 front widows outta the scrappies and put them in for the mot...
