Winter “tar”

Washed the car yesterday and it was absolutely covered in tar spots. Noticed it the last couple of weeks as well and always remove when washing but yesterday was mental. Pre wash and snow foam and still loads of specs there. What are they putting on the roads at the moment as I assume it’s to do with gritting. Didn’t shift with the mitt and shampoo either.
Used a full 500ml of tar remover to get them all shifted and hoping not to have to do the same next Saturday!

Are you using a citrus prewash? It is pretty decent at keeping on top of fresh tar.

I am using the Akem pre clean or whatever the name is. Really didn’t shift it at all as after the first rinse the dirt was gone but it made the tar all the more visible

Lots of pot holes being filled with “cold tar” at present and getting chucked up all over the gaff
