Only 35 entrants despite being a P-WRC and J-WRC round.

Henning Solberg crashed into a truck on a road section between service and special stage 1. Therefore he's out already.

After SS1, Loeb leads from Sordo, who in turn is ahead of Hirvonen. Latvala is 4th. Ogier is 5th and Petter Solberg is 6th in the Xsara, which has updated shocks and a new Citroen sport engine for this rally.

Just watched this on Dave.

Excellent work by Petter, so good hearing his frantic explanations in the interviews again, all Norwegians are clinically insane, lol - fact :innocent:

Just goes to prove how better the Citroen is than the last 3 evolutions of Subaru. That's his best result in a long time.
