Back in 2015, Porsche decided to put decent power into their Cayman platform and give it the GT treatment, and in doing so created one of the best 3-pedal normally aspirated mid engined cars ever.  It eclipses all other ‘drivers cars’ I’ve driven to date, both on road and track.  

With a 380bhp flat-6 from a 991 generation 911, GT3 front suspension and bespoke rear suspension all tuned by Porsche’s GT motorsport department, and a sweet, if slightly long-geared 6-speed manual mated to a limited slip diff, its a driver’s dream.  Swollen arches to accommodate the wider track is the 981 generation Cayman growing up and looking the business, here in Guards Red coachwork.
