this doesnt work either.. the car that the plate is going on has to be MOT'd, and if the MOT expired before you took the plate off it, you would have to re-test the car... my old man tried it with his plates, but got shafted by having to re-test a sh!tty old metro that was lying in his mothers garage lol

yeah my da got stung for something similar. bought an old scrapper for 200 cause it had a plate worth 500. applied for mot expecting a date in few months cause portadown is busy and gonna put the car on exerction cert and then take the plate off but they gave him a date for next week
